Environmental Chemistry
It characterizes pollution of aquatic, terrestrial, and atmospheric ecosystems and research is conducted to offer information to resource managers about source of pollution, exposure, trophic transfer and environmental fate. Custom analytical methods are developed to decipher complex mixtures of emerging contaminants, endocrine disruptors, toxic elements and persistent organic pollutants.

Reflexive sampling methods such as the SPMD, POCIS, SLMD and PIMS were invented at Chemistry Environmental resource center and are now used worldwide to assess pollutant exposure Environmental chemistry topicsEnvironmental chemistry is the revise of the sources, reactions, transport, effects, and fates of chemical kind in water, soil, and air environments, and the effects of technology thereon.

Environmental chemists are dependable for analyzing the affects of chemicals on soil, air and water environments according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics they are also responsible for devising solutions to answer environmental problems The next 3 years the environmental industry is expected to grow at a 2 to 3% rate per year in the United States, and at an 9 to11% rate per year outside the United states. Environmental industry can be divided into 2 groups.

The 1st group focuses on preventing environmental decline and the 2nd group is involved in environmental clean-up, or remediation .the first group members are employed to support industries in complying with environmental legislation .They effort with industrial processes to cover that targets for environmental emissions and discharge are achieved. Individuals employed in remediation, the 2nd group, use mechanical, chemical or biological methods to detoxify land or water that has become contaminated.
